A VILLAGE CHARACTER
Sought-after for its tranquility and quality of life, the commune of Schuttrange enjoys a privileged geographical location:
the calm of the countryside while remaining close to the capital and its various emblematic districts. The locality is bordered by forests, hiking trails, and significant road and rail axes.
The commune actively fights against climate change by implementing climate-beneficial projects in various areas of sustainable development. It has joined the climate pact, the “Climate Alliance Luxembourg,” and the “Fairtrade Gemeng” label.
A MUNICIPALITY
IN THE MAKING
The municipality of Schuttrange has rethought its center to integrate housing, a local scout group, a cultural house, and new public spaces. As part of a participatory democracy approach, citizens were invited to take part in workshops to discuss this project.
The project, which covers an area of 3.2 ha, aims to revitalise the heart of the municipality, encourage meetings through the creation of a central square and new convivial spaces, better organise the different areas while respecting the site’s topography, and improve the existing public and private green spaces.
